Meet our founder.

Aashish Rana
aka Bawa
How it all began!
When I landed in Bangalore in 2015, I felt a bit lost about how to keep my theatre journey alive. I’d been active in Delhi and Dehradun, but in a new city I didn’t know where to start. I tried everything, Quora, Facebook, Instagram, yet it still took years to find a group, and then another two years before I could get back on stage.
That experience sparked TheatreNama. I started it so that no passionate theatre lover has to wander like I did.
Today, as a director, actor, and founder, what makes me happiest isn’t the spotlight, it’s opening doors for others.
In the last three years, TheatreNama has helped 200+ actors step onto the stage and find their voice. My commitment is simple and steady: if you’re passionate about the craft, you deserve a welcoming platform and a clear path to perform.
